Agitos Foundation
Gründung/Historie
The Agitos Foundation, which takes its name from the Paralympic Symbol (the Agitos) and comes from the Latin meaning “I move”, was created by the IPC to fulfill its strategic goal in terms of development and education.
Stiftungszweck
Through developing sport opportunities, the Foundation aims to improve the life experiences of people with an impairment around the world, leaving a long-lasting mark on a more inclusive society.
Förderschwerpunkte
It acts as a catalyst supporting the implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, through the impact of sport and physical activity.

Förderung der Agitos Foundation
Die Agitos Foundation mit Sitz in Bonn wurde 2008 vom International Paralympic Committee (IPC) errichtet. Ziel der Arbeit der Stiftung ist die fachliche und finanzielle Unterstützung der IPC Mitgliedsorganisationen (Nationale Paralympische Kommitees und Internationale Sportverbände). Konkret geht es um die Unterstützung bei Programmen in den Bereichen Sport- und Organisationsentwicklung zur Schaffung von Rahmenbedingungen zur Förderung von Athletinnen und Athleten mit Behinderungen.
